LASH ROOM FAVORITES
Nov 28, 2023ALL THE NECESSITIES ON A BUDGET.
Picking the right lash bed for you and your clients is a BIG decision. The goal is ofcourse your clients falling into a dreamy lash nap and it’s at the right level for you to lash comfortably to not put any strain uneccesarily.
Currently I’m using the pictured white facial bed and I love it but most importantly my clients love it. I’ve used it for a few years now and haven’t had any issues, the only thing is I don’t use the pillow so I just cover the hole with lots of padding so no one can tell the difference and that makes it even more cozy!
A massage table is another great choice for a lash bed, more cost effective and if you need a bed to easily travel with. I would recommend getting a variety of padding to make the experience as comfortable as possible as clients will be laying for long periods of time.
Picking the right lash chair is EVERYTHING. You will be sitting in this chair every single day so it needs to be perfect. I have tried both of these chairs so I’m here to give my honest opinion.
First things first, you want it to be comfortable and adjustable. I know when ordering online you can’t exactly know what it will feel like but I would recommend going to your local office store and get a sense for what kind of chair you like and then take that info to Amazon!
I personally like having a back on my chair so I can utilize it and give my back a break from leaning forward as much as possible throughout the day. A lever to adjust the height of the chair is necessary because you may use different beds over the lifetime of your career and even clients can just lay differently so constant adjusting is needed.
Where are you going to store all of your lash products?? Want it to be cute but easily accessible? I got you.
I started off using a roller cart. This is a great choice if you have limited space. You will need to buy separate organizers which I also have linked in my storefront so it’s cute and doesn’t look too cluttered.
Now I have the 5 drawer storage cart and I absolutely love it! It consolidates everything, always looks clean and the extra space on top is perfect for an easy work area. I use clear acrylic and tupperware organizers for everything inside. Then I use the bottom 3 drawers for all of my lash trays, I organize those by diameter! Check out my instagram page @wichitabeautyspecialist where I have a full video of me stocking & organizing my lash cart.
You have acouple options when it comes to choosing a light for lashing. It’s very important to have a good quality, bright light to work effeciently. But…Ring light or a CosmoGlo, let’s talk about it. I used this ring light for my first 3 years of lashing and it’s great for a beginner lash artist. It’s very easy to assemble, easy for travel and very cost effective to get your lash business up and running. I actually would pop off the light filters to make it even brighter.
Now I use the CosmoGlo and I love it! It has an arched light so you get full coverage of both eyes whereas the ring light is coming from just one side. And ofcourse alittle more aesthetically pleasing than other options. It is a bit more than the ring light so I would recommend upgrading to the CosmoGlo as soon as you establish your business. They also offer a 10% discount when you purchase 6 or more lights if you have a lash salon that needs an upgrade!
